Brighton Cemetery Walk – Law and Order Week

May 20 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Brighton Cemetorians will conduct a tour of Brighton Cemetery for Law Week. They will visit the graves of Theyre à Beckett Weigall, a barrister and solicitor who was the father of  Joan Lindsay the Author of Picnic at Hanging Rock; the Police Valour Badge Recipient, Charles Edward McCormick who in 1890 rescued a number of people from drowning in floodwaters and Francine McNiff, barrister whose death notice read I have ceased to exist and several other interesting people connected with the Law.

Where: Brighton Cemetery, walk begins at Front Gate. When: Sunday, May 20 2018 at 2.00pm. Bookings essential – ring Lois on 9558 4248. Cost: $15.00 per person, $10.00 for Brighton Cemetorian members.
