Phillip Island Historical Society meeting

Phillip Island & District Historical Society meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 13 2019 at 12 noon. Guest speaker is Christine Grayden and her subject is The life and times of Samuel Amess.   Amess (1826 – 1898) owned Churchill island and was a Melbourne City Councillor.

Where: Cowes RSL, corner Thompson Avenue and Rhyll Road. Cost: $20 for  a two course meal.

A short general meeting will follow lunch and be followed by guest speaker. All welcome but booking is essential. Payment on the day, but to book please contact the treasurer, Judy Gittus, on 0417 390 885 or email history@waterfront.net.au
