  • Phillip Island & District Historical Society Museum update

The South Gippsland Sentinel Times of February 23 2016 had a report about the Bass Coast Shire Council’s concept design for the new Cowes  Cultural and Community Centre, but sadly there is currently no space set aside for a Museum. The Phillip Island & District Historical Society have been told that they can have displays at other locations, such as the new Library.  On the same page there was a report about the Inverloch Historical Society, who have  a collection of over 4000 items and they are still without  a home. Inverloch is also in the Bass Coast Shire.
