Brighton Cemetorians invite you to the Glen Eira Story Stelling Festival – Artists of the Brighton Cemetery. Many artists who played significant roles in the history of Australian art are buried in the Brighton Cemetery. Hear their stories from beyond the grave of their fascinating lives and their connections to art and each other Because the art world was a comparatively small one it is not surprising that many of their lives were linked – some of the ones that we will be visiting on this walk include a few of the Boyds’, Tucker, Dyson and McCubbin are but a few of the many artist buried within the walls of the Brighton Cemetery.

Rachel Mackay who will be taking the walk is part of the local art network and is a member of the Cemetorians.

When: Sunday, June 28, 2026. Walk begins at 2pm – meet at the front gate on North Road. Where: Brighton General Cemetery, corner North and Hawthorn Roads, Caulfield South.
