Researching World War One Army Nurses

Mornington Peninsula Family History Group invite you to hear Dr Janet Scarfe on Researching World War One Army Nurses. Dr Janet Scarfe has been researching WWl and WW2 Army nursing sisters since her retirement from the public service. Her interest
was sparked by the discovery of the diaries and photos of her aunt who served in the Australian Army Nursing Service in WW2. Her talk will provide background to the WW1 sisters and their service, and Dr Scarfe will introduce two with a Mornington Peninsula connection, Eliza Rowan and Gertrude Robertson. This will be a hybrid talk – Dr Scarfe will talk via Zoom on a large screen and will answer questions.
When: Saturday, October 3 at 1.30pm. The Library will be open from 12 noon and the AGM will be held at 1.00pm. Where: Frankston South Community Hub, Towerhill Road, Frankston. Cost: Members $10.00; non-members $15.00. Afternoon tea provided.
