Dandenong and District Historical Society Welcome Back luncheon will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 12.30pm. Venue:  Dandenong Club, 1579 Heatherton Road,  Dandenong,

Speaker: A representative from the City of Greater Dandenong will briefly share with us the “Arts Cultural and Heritage Strategy 2022-2026” and how this impacts on the two historical societies: Dandenong & Springvale.

Guest Speaker: Terry Russell – Charlie Hammond of “Wiscombe”. Charlie Hammond (1870-1953) was a gifted photographer and artist with studios in Melbourne, Dandenong, Malvern, Sale and Belgrave. Terry will share the story of this amazing man and his sketchbooks now held at the State Library of Victoria.
