We spoke about some of the issues of having a Facebook page at our meeting held on August 4, 2019.
This is a summary of the discussion and some of my thoughts on the matter. I am a bit of a Facebook fan and I do the Facebook pages for the S.E.H.A., Koo Wee Rup Swamp Historical Society, Trafalgar Truck Restorers Club, Lost Country Victoria; I contribute to the Lost Melbourne Facebook page and I also do the Casey Cardinia Heritage Facebook page as part of my work. The Federation of Australian Historical Societies and the Royal Historical Society of Victoria have published Collecting and Preserving Digital Materials: a how-to guide for Historical Societies by Sophie Shilling.
